Currency Rate refers to the exchange rate used to convert between different currencies in the system. This feature allows you to define and manage the conversion rate between foreign currencies and your organization's default (base) currency.
Purpose
Manage exchange rates between different currencies used in the following scenarios:
Creating Inventory Delivery Voucher from Invoices or Purchase Orders with non-default currencies
Creating Inventory Receiving Voucher from Purchase Orders with non-default currencies
Creating Packing List from Inventory Delivery Voucher with non-default currency
Creating Return Order from Inventory Delivery Voucher with non-default currency
- Automatically get currency rates:
- When enabled: the system automatically fetches currency rates from online sources (e.g., Open Exchange Rates, ECB...) at scheduled intervals.
- When disabled: users must manually fetch or update exchange rates via the Get Online Currency Rates button or use manual input.
- Maximum number of storage days:
- Specifies the number of days the Currency Rate Logs should be retained.
- If set to 0, logs are not deleted.
- If set to a value > 0, the system will automatically delete logs older than the specified number of days.
- Save: saves the following settings:
- Automatically get currency rates
- Maximum number of storage days
- Get Online Currency Rates
- If you do not enable automatic rate fetching, click this button to:
- Retrieve the latest currency rates
- Immediately update the Currency Rate table
You can use the Edit or Delete function on each row through hovering on the row holding the necessary data.
- Edit: If you want to:
- Manually update an exchange rate (instead of fetching online)
- Set the exchange rate between two currencies to 0
- Delete
- Set the exchange rate between two currencies to 0
