Automatically generate batch numbers: used to automatically generate Lot numbers in Inventory receiving vouchers.
1. Activate the automatic Lot number generation mechanism
Go to Settings menu under Inventory -> Prefix Settings -> Check the "Automatically generate batch numbers" box enable automatic batch number generation -> enter Lot Number Prefix and Next Lot Number -> then click Save.
Lot number structure: Lot number should be auto generated starting with Lot, then First 2 letter of Month, then Last 2 letter of Year, then create date followed by 001. Ex: LOT-0123-00000
LOT: Prefix allows customization
0123: month (2 numbers) + year (2 numbers). 01: January, 2023 = 23
00000: five numerical digits automatically generated and incremented.
2. Create Inventory receiving voucher
Go to Inventory -> Inventory receiving voucher -> click on "Delivery docket" button -> select an item or purchase order and add to voucher
